The Vitality Big Half Training Plans

The Vitality Big Half is a running challenge that requires the development of stamina and strength, whether your goal is to get around, or to run your fastest ever time. We’ve pulled together two training programmes to help you reach the Finish Line.
Pick the plan for your ability below and enjoy your training!
13-week Plan
If you’ve never done any running before, the beginner’s training plan will help you understand the basics. A half marathon is a physical and mental challenge and the better prepared you are, the better your experience on Race Day will be!
9-week Plan
The nine-week plan assumes you’re a regular runner and can cover at least 5k without stopping. Each week you’ll do a mixture of steady running, quality higher intensity running, continued, sustained effort runs and some distance runs.
